Power Apps Container with Ribbon Badge (Corner Badge)

Download a ready-made container with side badges to easily flag statuses like out-of-stock, urgent, or special categories. 100% built with standard Power Apps controls — no custom code required. Perfect for clearer, more user-friendly apps.

I’m always looking for ways to make Power Apps more useful and user-friendly — not just for me but for other makers too. Recently, I put together a simple component that I think many of you will find handy, especially if you want your apps to communicate status or categories more clearly.

What is it?

It’s a container with side badges that you can easily drop into your Power Apps screens. The idea is simple: sometimes you need a visual flag to help users spot something important right away — for example:

  • Highlighting items that are out of stock

  • Marking tasks as urgent

  • Showing a status or category like “New”, “Blocked”, or “Draft”

  • Or anything else that deserves a bit of extra attention

This little badge helps you do just that in a neat, consistent way.

How does it work?

One of the things I love about this component is that it’s built entirely with standard Power Apps features:

  • No custom PCF controls

  • No extra code to maintain

  • Just plain HTML, CSS, and the flexibility that Power Apps gives us

That means you can easily adapt it to your own use cases, keep it lightweight, and trust that it’ll work well within your existing environments — whether you’re building small apps for a team or rolling out large solutions for an entire department.

Why did I make it?

I’ve seen so many apps where information is technically “there” but doesn’t jump out in a way that makes sense to users. Adding clear, visual cues — like a badge on the side of a container — can make a huge difference to how people navigate your app and make decisions quickly.

It’s a small thing, but these small things add up when you’re trying to build apps that look professional and feel intuitive to use.

Want to try it?

If you think this could help in one of your apps, I’m more than happy to share it. Just drop me a message or leave a comment, and I’ll send the file over to you. Feel free to tweak it however you like — that’s the whole point!

I hope this saves you a bit of time and helps make your apps clearer and more engaging.

Happy building, and I’d love to hear how you put it to use!
