aMP Hammamet – Tunisia 2025 🇹🇳

I had an immense pleasure attending the aMP Hammamet 2025 event — a truly inspiring gathering that brought together passionate professionals, Microsoft MVPs, MCTs, and community leaders from across the region.
The agenda was packed with insightful sessions and discussions around some of the most exciting areas in the Microsoft ecosystem, including:
- Copilot and AI integration across Microsoft 365
- SharePoint and SharePoint Embedded – exploring new capabilities for data storage and extensibility
- Power Platform – empowering citizen developers and accelerating business transformation
- Security & Compliance – ensuring responsible and secure adoption of cloud technologies
I had the privilege of delivering a session titled “Power Apps: From Zero to Hero”, where I showcased the art of the possible with Power Apps — demonstrating how to build modern, intuitive, and visually appealing applications that users actually enjoy using.
Throughout the session, we explored design principles, best practices for responsive layouts, and practical techniques to elevate user experience using galleries, components, and Power Fx.
The energy in the room was fantastic — attendees were incredibly engaged, asking great questions and sharing real-life scenarios from their organisations. It was a genuine pleasure to see how the Power Platform continues to spark creativity and innovation wherever it goes.
A heartfelt thank you to the organising team and the entire aMP community for making this event so special — and especially to Jamel Abed and Patrick, whose dedication and hard work ensured everything ran flawlessly.

What if you could build a smart AI assistant without writing a single line of code?
That’s exactly what we set out to explore in Friday’s EduHackAI-2.0 session. I had the opportunity to lead a Copilot Studio Power Hour, and it turned out to be one of the most engaging and energising sessions I’ve delivered in a while.
From the start, the energy was fantastic. The audience came ready to learn, ask questions, and challenge the limits of what low-code AI can really do.
Here’s what we covered during the session:

I built a working GenAI assistant live, in under 15 minutes

We connected it to SharePoint and Outlook to bring real business context

I walked through how to use prompt flows and AI plugins

And we designed a multi-turn conversation that felt smooth and human
The goal was to show that building powerful AI assistants isn’t just for developers anymore. With Copilot Studio, it’s accessible, fast, and genuinely exciting to experiment with.

I took the attendees through the steps to create a custom PowerPlatform connector to communicate with Chat GPT.
At the end, a quick PowerApp will be created to consume the connector.
Power App – Azure DevOps Integration – Source code control
In this session, we examined how to use Azure DevOps with PowerApps for source control and CI/CD.
We will look at version controls and the ability to track Power Apps changes using the Azure DevOps Repositories and branches.

I was pleased to present a session at the 2024 Global Power Platform Bootcamp in Egypt. During my presentation, I demonstrated how to use Microsoft Copilot to create an HR Chat Bot in under 30 minutes. The session covered how to feed company data into Copilot, and use generative AI to build the bot’s knowledge base. Additionally, I showed how to implement custom logic that enables users to inquire about company policies and leaves.

Fabric UI For Office 365 Customizations #ESPC2018

In this session, we will be discussing the customization that we can apply to SharePoint modern page.
Everyone knows that Sharepoint OOTB features are quite okay, the modern pages offer slightly better components and customization capabilities.
In the past, we had to apply multiple customizations to achieve the desired end goal.
why use fabric UI for customization? Because it is what Microsoft uses !. And if we do, our customizations won’t look like something coming from another planet. I have personally been using sp.js with bootstrap to create custom solutions, but the users would feel the difference from the customized design to the OOTB pages
FabricUI, can be used with react or any other framework, but ideally, use it with React JS. In term of licensing, this is open source, so, it is somehow Free. Why somehow? Because there are some licensing limitations related to icons and fonts if used in non-MS platforms. In other words, Fabric UI is totally free if using with Microsoft Technologies (in our case, SharePoint, or Teams customizations it applies), however, if you want to use the UI Fabric css for another platform (let’s say your web site, so this would be an issue, and you would need a proper licence, my advice, just go and pick bootstrap).
But as we
are dealing with Microsoft platforms only, let’s continue 😉
As we are in 2018, no don’t need to worry too much about the compatibility, the Fabric UI is fully responsive (if you define your classes properly), and all the animations workin all the browsers.

ESPC 15 – what a great event

Attended the latest European SharePoint Conference 2015 in Stockholm, during this event, I had the exceptional chance to meet with some of the greatest MVPs of the community, had a chat with Chris O’Brian about the new trends and where he personally think SharePoint is going. I got some revelations which will be in another post.
The exhibitors had a fantastic set of tools, I was particularly impressed by SPCAF, which I will definitely suggest to my employer.
The city of Stockholm, as called the City on Water, was a fantastic place to visit in the evening, beside the very cold weather (Even worst than Aberdeen).
